As a STEAM magnet, the entire school community is committed to the idea that a strong education steeped in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math will prepare students for participation in a 21st century global society.

This video depicts students learning about the various phases of the moon.  Prior to this activity, students made observations of an Earth-Moon-Sun model system in order to be able to describe the phases of the moon.  This activity asked the students  to use models in order to discover why the moon phases occur.  The students were able to complete a series of moon phases that matched the models they had viewed.
